If you are shopping or planning to upgrade your new home theater receiver, do check out the new Aventage series AV receivers from Yamaha. These are top of the line, premium grade components with special efforts made to make them more stable and inert to vibration. Yamaha did this by making the chassis with heavier grade aluminum and adding a fifth foot under the bottom plate. The strength and rigidity rejects environmental vibration and resulting in better sound.

The two new models in their lineup includes the Yamaha RX-A800 and the flagship Yamaha RX-A3000. Both these receivers are 3D capable and comes with HDMI version 1.4a standard. The RX-A3000 is fully network capable meaning you can stream music, videos and photos from your home PC to the home theater system. While the 980 watts of output power clearly show that the Yamaha RX-A3000 is ready to power the biggest setups, the optimized power amplifier layout still manages to reduce the power consumption when the device hits standby mode. In addition, it also features a hybrid power supply and Low Jitter circuitry to improve the timing control of HDMI sources.

Acne is a uncomfortable and common skin problem that usually starts in the teens and can last until the early twenties. Sometimes severe acne scars the face permanently. It is best to stop them from breaking out before they become a serious problem.

Some simple tips and skin care regimes will go a long way in preventing acne and pimples:

  1. Wash your skin at least once if not twice a day.
  2. Wipe away sweat after an exercise.
  3. If you want the skin on your face to look lovely, stop touching it.
  4. Always remember to clean away makeup at the end of the day. Makeup alone doesn’t necessarily cause breakouts, but people may notice a significant increase in facial blemishes when wearing a certain brand or type of makeup.
  5. Have Benzoyl Peroxide at home – it kills the P. acnes bacteria that causes inflammation in a blocked pore. Can be obtained over the counter.

You can learn more about how to prevent pimples and some of the types of acne.

The Audio/Video industry is a highly competitive sector. Manufacturers have to come out with new products to replace their aging lineup sooner rather than later. In this fast moving industry it means every year new products have to be churned out. This year Onkyo released two expensive flagship AV receivers to beef up their lineup.

The flagship Onkyo TX-NR5008 and the Onkyo TX-NR3008 comes with superior specs, new features and improved performance. Making their products sound good is high on Onkyo’s agenda.

In terms of design the Onkyo TX-NR3008 and NR5008 look very similar to the previous models. The thick aluminum front panel is solidly built.

The nine channels of the TX-NR3008 are rated at 130 Watts which is more than ample. It is enough to drive any home theater room to really loud levels. The extra channels also enable you to have a multichannel source in your main room and powered stereo in two other rooms. Onkyo appears to have included as many features and latest cutting edge technologies as they possibly can.
