Skeletons are certainly a familiar site on Halloween night. What might not be as common are the married day of the dead costumes couple. Perhaps these are a bit unique because you pretty much have to buy them online.

Last Halloween my boyfriend and I dressed up as this famous skeleton couple and we got more compliments than we could count. Every year we dress up for the Halloween parties and events we attend. We have done it all from cute, sexy, funny, we’ve even done the group Halloween costumes thing.

Still, this ethnic, folk art looking couples costume has won us the most accolades. I will confess that our makeup was exceptional that year. We spent some time a few days before drawing sketches and practicing our designs on our faces. It was worth it! We made a delightfully dead skeleton couple that day.

Pirates of the Caribbean costumes are beginning to be perennial Halloween favorites. Who doesn’t love a good Jack Sparrow costume?

Before you think it is only the guys who like to dress up as this famous pirate, guess again! The girls like to be Jack for Halloween night as well. Some may opt for the girl costume versions; others prefer to be authentic and dress like a male pirate for the night.

Still one of the most popular theme parties for kids and adults alike. The fans of Captain Jack just cannot get enough of this likeable, adventurous pirate and his ship mates. Of course it helps that the amazingly talented Johnny Depp plays the part of Jack.

Hooray for Disney and The Pirates of the Caribbean for bringing pirates back. It has been a long time since Captain Hook and quiet frankly, Jack Sparrow is a much more interesting pirate.
