As usual, the range is vast. The darker characters like Frankenstein, Dracula and the Wolf man are always popular as standards. Superheroes are always in our consciousness. So are TV characters. Fictional heroes like Spider-man, Superman and Indiana Jones are favorites.

These days, just about anything goes. If you can think of a character, then there’s an outfit to match. Have you thought of inflatable costumes? These are hilarious and a bit more unusual. An adult’s Halloween costume needs to satisfy certain criteria. It needs to be comfortable. There’s no point coming as a mummy if you can’t stand being wrapped in bandages all evening.
