India has come a far way from independence, not only stabilising its economic and political condition but progressing remarkably in the field of Information Technology (IT). The mantra of India now is “the land of computer engineers” with genius-minded individuals contributing in innovative gadgets and technology every day. India is giving tough competition to the developed western countries with respect to supercomputer. Carving a strong position for themselves over the year, the hard-work has finally paid off with India ranking No.4 in the global list of countries with the most powerful super computer. Many prominent Indian personalities have changed the landscape of the origin of computers developers. Rajiv Gupta, former GM of Hewlett Packard created the world’s No 1 web based program, Hotmail. Sanjay Tejwrika’s claim to fame is attached with the creation of Pentium chip. India has a lot of hidden potential in the sector of Information Technology which should be given an official platform to showcase it’s talent.
