Kanji Symbols & There Meanings

If you’re a native English speaker and looking at Kanji Symbols you might expect them to follow the same format as English but this is where some people run into problems and end up with a tattoo that means something completely different from what they wanted.

If you look at kanji you will see 3 basic scripts, Kaisho, Gyosho and Sosho. The Kaisho script is one that you may be familiar with as it’s characterized by the bold angular black script. Depending on the meaning and body part being tattooed this can look really impressive!

The semi-cursive script is called gyosho and also looks really good. The last one is the full cursive script called sosho. Think about what the symbols mean and body part. Do you want it to stand out clear and sharp or do you want it to flow on your body?
