We all like to disappear behind a guise once in a while. Maybe slap on a unique costume and fade into the crowd. Unfortunately this is not a reasonable plan at all times of the year. People would glare at you like you were some sort of freak or mental patient if you traipsed around in a vampire get-up in the middle of March. Nope; there is truly only one day of the year that this exciting ritual is aloud. And that is none other than Halloween.

Ladies have a selection of beautiful outfits and they can live out their fantasies to be Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora or Ariel. They can also explore their dark side and be the Evil Queen, complete with a gown and cape, gold cord and sash and a gold crown. One of the most villainous characters available in an adult size Disney costume is Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians. Not a costume for dog lovers! The black velvet dress is sleeveless and there is a Dalmatian print cape and fake Dalmatian fur. There is also a black and white wig for the finishing touch.

Ah ha, and you thought it was going to be Freddy or Michael Myers. No, not by a long shot. Heck, I was just setting the scene. Halloween night is drawing close and we all have to get into the spooky mood. That goes for all you adults out there as well. This means adult halloween costume ideas. So, do you have any good ones? If not, you’ve come to the right place.

Peter Pan is another classic tale and the costume comes with a dark green tunic, green hat with a red feather, brown trousers, and a brown leather belt with a holder for a sword. Every Peter Pan needs his Tinker Bell, with a mint green costume and gossamer style wings. Aladdin and Princess Jasmine, the Arabian Prince and Princess, also make the perfect couple. Aladdin has a silver jumpsuit, silver turban and purple cape. Prince Charming, the evergreen romantic hero has a costume with gold tassle braiding.

To showcase the boots, contrasting colors of opaque stockings were a necessity. You’ve probably got a handle on the 80′s look by now. Now for the dress. The colors were still brilliant, but this is where the costume acquired variety. This garment is where the costume became individualized. Rock star looks featured everything from Marilyn Monroe glamor to slinky fake lizard fabrics interspersed with a little metallic threading. Outrageous ballerina-styled costumes, featuring a brilliantly colored bodice and nylon net mid-thigh – not mini – skirt also found favor with the 80′s costume crowd. Bell-bottom pants were also in vogue, with the bell being highly exaggerated. Mini dresses, with long bell bottom sleeves and gigantically patterned fabrics were yet another variation.

Men’s wear was sometimes a tad less outrageous. The dude who wanted to look cool might show up in a black dress shirt, sans tie and an over-sized sport jacket and slacks, in a neutral color. This guy let the woman grab all the attention. Other men tried to out-do his woman’s costume, sporting a brilliant yellow, patent leather, zip-up suit with perhaps a bright red trim at neck and pant hem. Now, if the 80′s costume look sounds like your next party garment, all you need to do is go online. With millions of results, you can surely find your hot retro costume! Wow!
