The synonym of demolition companies is that of wrecking and destroying. It is where a company comes out to a property, whether it be industrial or residential and destroys the necessary structure by means of large and powerful equipment.
There are many different types of structures that are able to be demolished as well as different ways of doing the actual demolition. Two of those ways are partial and complete demolition. Partial demolition is more mainly needed where residential structures are concerned. This is needed when the home owner wants to make an area of his home larger or would like to have the house renovated. In this case only the manual labour of the demolition staff is needed and traditional tools like hammers and mallets will be needed. Complete demolition is usually needed when a industrial property needs to be taken down to make space for a road, factory, shopping centre or even just a more modern type of industrial building. In this case more heavy duty equipment will be needed like cranes, excavators and bulldozers. If a building with multiple floors needs to be demolished, the use of a wrecking ball will be the best equipment to use.
There are more modern methods that are nowadays used which consists of rotational hydraulic shears and silenced rock-breakers that are attached to excavators and that cut or break their way through any surface. There is also a different type of demolition called undermining. This is where the building is made to “implode” by literally falling into itself and the direction of the fall can be determined by the demolition company.
As mentioned earlier, there is a non-explosive option of demolition involving heavy machinery and there is also an explosive form of demolition as mentioned above which includes the use of explosives like TNT, NitroglycerineC4 and detonating cords.
