Google has put increasing importance on the maps listings. You can build a listing without a great deal of technical expertise. There are directions in Google to explain it if you have questions. The basic process is to set up a gmail account that will own the Google places listing. Then you log in to places with that new email and begin to fill in the information that Google asks for.
