Ways of Chiropractic Offices Turning Cash Practices Across Country

Now imagine your patients paying cash for care. It comes down to a consultation, examination, and report of findings at the end of how they write you a check and pay for care. You tell them what you charge and they pay! A number of them even pay for all their care up front for a small discount. Imagine how billing and collection problems just disappear, how you can concentrate completely on your patients needs and helping them achieve optimum health instead of how much will be approved or declined. No more approval or denials. No more bills getting cut. No more frustrating calling back and forth. No more insurance compliance regulation. No more maximum visits. Just demonstrating value, asking for what it’s worth and becoming paid!

So how is this possible? The issue is insurance companies make it so easy for patients to receive care as long as they play by their rules. In the past, when insurance covered chiropractic care, there is you should not demonstrate value to the patient. If a person wanted to see a chiropractor, they would find one on their list and the insurance company would take care of the rest. Nonetheless, with insurance companies purchasing less care, chiropractors have to re-train themselves on patient education so people are willing to pay out of pocket for something which used to be free.

As chiropractors, we realize folks should try chiropractic first before medicine or surgery for back pain, neck pain, headaches, shoulder pain and many other injuries or health concerns. We know most of the time this is worth hundreds if not thousands of dollars. We have seen families ruined because of a needless surgery or reaction to drugs. When your patients say “I’d like to come but you’re not on my insurance list” or “I’d like to come but my insurance doesn’t cover chiropractic care” how do you display value so they are willing to try it out?

It comes down to an unwavering philosophy that the power that came up with body can heal the body. As soon as the patient enters your office to the second they leave they are seeing, hearing and feeling that philosophy. Your exam, consultations, and report of findings are all directed toward the value of chiropractic care. How their health will be better, therefore their attitude will improve, therefore their surroundings will be better, and subsequently their life will be better. This is not about what the insurance will pay for, this is about optimum health, increasing their total well being and doing it without the harmful side effects of drugs or surgery.
